To save you're self from buying new batteries constantly, and from running out of juice in the middle of an epic battle. Buy rechargeable NiMH batteries and a battery charger, in the long run you'll save a bundle, and will always have fresh batteries ready to go.

Wii Points; Wii points are one of the draws of the Wii Virtual Console. The Wii Points are good to have if you plan to buy Nintendo's classic games, yes; they are backward compatible as well. The Wii Points function like real currency. 100 wii points equals 1 dollar. Buy the points via Nintendo's prepaid cards or from its online store.
